Vision4Lee - Life in Lee DVD Project
In order to promote Lee-on-the-Solent, both from a business, tourism and interesting place to live, Vision4Lee have embarked on a project to produce a Life in Lee DVD. Production of the DVD will be undertaken by Media Students at St Vincent College. The Media students have formed a Team and will visit community events and locations in and around Lee over the next 5 months.
The plan is to include as much as possible of what goes on in Lee-on-the-Solent and the immediate hinterland of Gosport, Hill Head and Stubbington so that the DVD can be purchased by local businesses, groups, etc. to sell to residents and visitors. Businesses, Groups and Clubs located in Lee are invited, when events are planned and are willing for them to be included in the DVD, to contact Vision4Lee Secretary Ray Harding on 023 92 551706.
Funding for this project is being sought from O2 Its Your Community and other funding sources, bids are in the process of being prepared. All proceeds received by Vision4Lee from the sale of the DVD will be used by Vision4Lee to support local group projects in the Lee Community.
It is planned to launch the DVD at the LBA/LOSRA Lee Festival 2008 being held on Saturday 23 August 2008.
